My Commitment to You

It is my goal for you to enjoy your day, relaxed in the knowledge that the details are taken care of.

Services & Fees

I am a professional, trained celebrant committed to giving you the very best experience.

Inclusions

My fee includes all meetings, unlimited phone, and email contact, travel within greater Christchurch, a wedding rehearsal (should you choose to have one, which I recommend), and services on the big day.

I will facilitate all key players through the formalities and legal requirements, and work with your chosen vendors to ensure a seamless day.

A bespoke service designed for YOU

Each ceremony I create is unique and reflects the individual style of each couple. I will work with you to create a bespoke ceremony that includes any readings, poems or enactments you wish to include.

I will provide you with access to my own resources to help form the building blocks of your ceremony, readings, music, vows etc.

You can expect a fully choreographed order of service that guides you through who does what, when and where (unless you choose otherwise, in which case I am happy to work to your preferences).

Quotes & Fees

At the end of our initial meeting, I will provide you with a quote for my services.

My base fee for a wedding ceremony with all inclusions listed above is $650.00.  This does not include travel.

A $250.00 deposit is payable to secure your date, with the balance due the week before the wedding.

I am 100% committed solely to you on your chosen date and do not make any other bookings.

I will work with you to secure your chosen rehearsal time prior to your wedding day early in the process.

Further details will be set out in the Service Agreement.

Travel

I am based in North Canterbury, however, frequently officiate weddings and events throughout Christchurch and wider Canterbury, or in some circumstances, travel further afield (I am especially keen if you are getting married in Hawaii or an Island hotspot!).

For locations beyond 20km from my office there will be a travel fee. This is charged at the current IRD rate (.77 cents) to represent a contribution towards both travel costs and my time. I always discuss travel charges in advance so we can agree on a reasonable fee.

In the event that your wedding is out of central Canterbury and you would like me to attend a rehearsal at your venue a day prior to your ceremony, accommodation may be required.

MC, Master of Ceremonies Services

In some circumstances, I can provide MC, that is, Master of Ceremonies, services for your wedding and reception. Perfect if you want all your guests to relax and enjoy the day, leaving the work to the professionals!

While all services are tailored to your occasion, this package includes:

  • Ensuring the day/evening flows smoothly including making all announcements for what is happening where and when, including your arrival, speeches, meal service, cake cutting, first dance etc.

  • Working with your photographer to gather your guests for photos (we will prepare a list ahead of time)

  • Helping everyone find where they are supposed to be at any given time; perhaps locating their place setting, maybe wrangling friends and family for speeches, or assisting caterers or your other chosen vendors to get where they need to be and when.

  • Ensuring you keep to your desired evening's timetable (delicately, or perhaps not so subtly if needed!) noting that I can deal with the occasional curveball!

  • Working with your venue to ensure you have met your obligations.

  • Generally trying to slot in and behave like a guest! It is my goal for everyone to think I am a friend or family!

Complete Packages for your ceremony and MC services start at $1400.00

What's an "elopement?"

There are many definitions of elopements or "mini weddings" these days. For my elopement package, I include up to 10 guests, including your witnesses (this is designed to allow for close friends, children or immediate family).

In the event that you are eloping in the traditional sense, that is, just the two of you, I can provide witnesses for you as part of the package.

"Courthouse" or "Registry weddings"

I am not a validated registry celebrant (I don't do "courthouse weddings"), but I will provide an unforgettable elopement experience.

If you are looking for the traditional "courthouse wedding", I suggest you look at https://www.govt.nz/browse/family-and-whanau/getting-married/how-to-get-married-in-nz/registry-ceremonies/  or I will recommend you a local validated or "VCANZ" celebrant.

Elope away with me!

Sometimes life throws us curveballs (Covid!!!), or there are simply times when you just want to escape all the pomp and fanfare! We all have our reasons, but the truth is, you don't need a reason at all!

Any day of the week, I am available to escape with you to your chosen location, to have a precious private moment and sign on the dotted line! (so to speak!)

You can still expect a fully choreographed and individualised ceremony that reflects the two of you!

I will provide you with access to my own resources to help form the building blocks of your ceremony, readings, music, vows, etc.

My base fee for an elopement ceremony with all inclusions listed above is $550.00.  This does not include travel.

Please note that the cost does not include your marriage licence or consent to get married at a council-owned space.

As part of this service, I also offer you my modest speaker and sound system (including two wireless microphones) free of charge. I also offer you some optional extras including a rustic signing table and hurricane lamp, should you wish to include some added ambiance, or candle lighting (for example, to acknowledge those who have passed on or are not present on the day).
